Caught in a heatwave

Whenever the UK experiences a
heatwave like the one we are having this week, the media always seem to
activate panic mode. Here at PGHL, the only warnings we have for the hot
weather are ‘make sure you don’t miss out on all fun summer activities going on
in Leeds!’ We’ve certainly practiced what we preach and have been out and about
promoting the many, exciting events and launches that have been happening in
Costa Del Yorkshire this week.

First up, was the Brewery wharf festival
which was on last week. Did you spot our walking billboards and free drinks
vouchers that were on offer via PG Vouchers? On the Saturday, we made sure to
get everyone down to Oracle’s festival bar and the best part of the day was the
karaoke competition hosted by Adam O’Neill from Capital FM!  There was also a performance by disco legend
Brutus Gold, a dance competition by some incredible special guest dancers and a
beatboxing set performed by Bloxed Beats which blew the socks off everyone! The
Sunday was another busy day at the festival, but had a more family orientated
feel with salsa dancing lessons and lots of fun, family entertainment. Last
week also saw the launch the Rum Shack last week, which is a pop up bar concept
by The Hedonist Project and sandwiched between Belgrave Music Hall and Sandinista
in Leeds’ lively Northern Quarter. The concept of the bar will change every 12
weeks but for now it has Caribbean vibes, deckchairs and lots and lots of Rum.

This week, we invited 50 press and
bloggers down to the Coors Light pop up Ice Bar. The Ice Bar is situated in The
Bierkeller Entertainment Complex and is a completely unique experience for
Leeds with the entire bar being sculpted out of ice! It was so surreal to head
down into the icy chambers when the weather was scorching outside! Luckily you
are given warm clothing to wear for the time you spend inside and it was such a
fun experience. In between the sounds of clinking bottles and shutter clicks,
we heard outbursts of awe and approval from the bloggers who attended.  

We’ve been so excited about Nourish
opening its doors and the day is finally here! Nourish opens on 6^th July
from 7am everyday Mon-Sat and 11am on Sundays as Leeds’ FIRST healthy fast food
restaurant. Whatever your preferences, Nourish has it all; catering for
everyone from the calorie conscious, to the muscle-building, vegans to meat

Our client, Slendertoxtea was
thrilled that Holly from Geordie Shore and Lisa Vanderpump from Housewives Of
Beverley hills started their teatoxes this week and have been loving their
results so far!
