The Rum Shack: A pop-up bar that lets Leeds know summer has arrived.

If you want to try something a little different the next
time you head out into Leeds, make sure you go and check out pop-up bar The Rum
Shack.

Here for the next 12-weeks, this quaint shack-style bar,
situated next to popular hang-out Belgrave Music Hall, is serving up a
selection of rum cocktails, sure to get anyone into the summer spirit with
décor and music that has a true feel of Jamaica.

With authentic music and a cocktail menu that will change
regularly, it provides party goers with a cool alternative to the usual
hot-spots such as Call Lane or the centre of town. Whether you’re looking for a
few drinks after work or a place to entertain your friends, The Rum Shack will
give you an evening that can be unrivaled in Leeds.

It’s ran by three of the city’s most experienced bartenders.
Bruce Lerman from Epernay, Dan Crowther from Sandinista and Tom Finnon from
Smokestack are the creative genius’ by this latest trend to hit Leeds, and it’s
no surprise given their combined 30-years’ in the bar industry.

During an exclusive launch party on Thursday 25 June, The
Rum Shack showed a selection of people how to serve up fantastic rum cocktails
and provide an atmosphere that can’t be currently seen elsewhere in Leeds.

With drinks such as Pina Colada and reggae rum punch on
offer, you’ll struggle not to fall in love with a vibe that has you transformed
to the beaches of Jamaica without leaving West Yorkshire.

From the ‘rough round the edges’ wooden style bar, to the
vast array of fruit on display, the overall feel of sunshine and good times
allows this venue to offer so much more than your typical place to drink.

Part of The Hedonist Project, The Rum Shack is just one of
the ever-changing themes that these three guys are bringing to Leeds over the
year, so make sure you go check this place out between June 26 and September 5
for rum tasting events and ‘takeovers’ where different barmen across Leeds will
showcase their talents.
