Thirsty work

It might have rained
non-stop this week, but it certainly hasn’t dampened our spirits as we launched Slate
NQ on Thursday. We always look forward to launching a new venue in Leeds as
this city knows how to party, and Slate NQ did not disappoint. The venue was
packed from beginning to end with everyone loving the transformation of this
gorgeous old building into the must-go venue for the summer. With a magician
bamboozling everyone with his wild card tricks and the magicians of the Slate
NQ kitchen whipping up the tastiest pizza variations for the guests, the
atmosphere at the launch party was electric! An awesome selection of drinks and
with beer coming out of the walls meant we were entertained all night, not to
mention the pool tables on the ground floor of the bar!

We ran a Twitter
competition to promote Slate NQ’s launch and a congratulations is in order for David Dodd who won a £100 bar tab to enjoy at Slate when he next
visits!

Speaking of cool
bars, we are highly anticipating the launch night of Rum Shack by the Hedonist
Project which launches on Thursday night. The Hedonist Project is a totally new
concept for Leeds and is a rotating pop-up bar that changes every 3 months. - From
Thursday 25th June through to 5th September, the bar will be called Rum Shack,
then it will close for a week while the whole interior and theme for the bar
changes and they’ll open as
something different! Combining Leeds’ finest bar expertise, The Hedonist Project is being
run by Bruce Lerman from Epernay, Dan Crowther from Sandinista and Tom Finnon
from Smokestack.

We have also just
started working with another genius company called Deliveroo, who deliver food
from your favourite restaurants that usually don’t offer takeout delivery, straight to your
door! Restaurants that have signed up for the service include Gaucho, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Cabana, Pho, Barburrito, Red’s
True BBQ, My Thai, Meatliquor
and a whole load more that you can see on their website. 

Having just signed
up Slendertoxtea and Doll White teeth whitening strips to be part of a celebrity party in association
with NOW Magazine which takes place next month in London, we are gearing up
for what will surely be the event of the summer! We can’t wait to see which
celebs we get to hang out with and of course will be bringing you all the
gossip from the event right here.
