Eat, Play, Love

When you were little, everything in the world seemed big and
magical, no matter how small or insignificant an object was. Wasn’t it amazing
how ideas for games and playtime could capture your imagination so
magnificently that you’d feel entirely enveloped in a fantasy world of fun,
excitement and wonder? Well we were able to embrace our inner child again at
Topshop’s flagship store on Oxford Street last weekend, along with thousands of
shoppers as we helped to host Topshop Playland - an Arcade themed store
takeover of giant inflatables, games, giveaways and hundreds of freebies!

Topshop Playland saw the world’s first ever arcade game
activated and controlled by Twitter, with prizes ranging from Topshop make-up
to a £500 shopping spree! Our staff were on hand to give out free snacks such
as popcorn, candy floss and swirly lollies, which absolutely flabbergasted
shoppers who had inadvertently stumbled across the pop-up wonderland that had
taken over Topshop for the weekend!

Yep, this week has definitely been all work AND all play, as
we introduced the Pink Vending Machine to the Trinity Shopping Centre in Leeds!
This giant hot pink box caught the eye of many shoppers, who were immediately
intrigued by the cord telephone on the outside beckoning them to ‘pick me up’! By
either popping in a £1 coin or being entitled to a very special Pink Token by spending
£25 or more in one of the participating restaurants in the Trinity centre,
shoppers could play for prizes and also be in with the chance of winning a £200
shopping voucher to spend at the Trinity Centre!

The fun continued as it was also Leeds Loves Cocktails last
week which saw 40 venues across Leeds host over 50 events in one week!
Wristband holders were privy to cocktail tasting sessions, masterclasses and
very special discounts during the event which celebrated its three year
anniversary this year. We also welcomed some VIP guest hosts as staff from The
Savoy’s American Bar came up to Leeds for a one night only event at Manahatta.
Taking over the upstairs bar to serve an exclusive selection of classic bourbon
cocktails, the expert team served Manhattans, Boulevardiers and Juleps all of
which were shaken and stirred with their 100 years combined experience and showmanship
flair.  Special guests included Declan
McGurk and Joe Schofield – bar managers at The Savoy.

Another foodie delight of the week was the final
weekend of the Leeds Food and Drink Festival which saw

The
Yorkshire Post’s Yorkshire Food and Drink Show host a three day closing party at Millennium square. The weather was perfect and there were more than 100 exhibitors all showcasing
the finest food and drink that Yorkshire has to offer. There was also a series of
mouth-watering cookery demonstrations, artisan food specialist stalls, real ale
and of course, Pimms and cocktail bars to really get in the summer spirit.

It’s been another amazing year for Leeds Food and
Drink Festival and once again we’ve loved being a part of this exciting
culinary carnival!

After all that food and drink, we also ensured that Made In
Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Stephanie Pratt didn’t miss out on receiving
their Slendertoxtea and both of them loved their deliveries this week.
