Shake it up!

Work, work, work, work, work. Just like Rihanna, we’ve been
doin’ it all night all summer here at Pink Gorilla, and the results have been
incredible; our list of recent and forthcoming events has never been as rich or
diverse.

As well as successful launches with Trader Dan’s Surf Shack
and Roxy Lanes Huddersfield, we’ve been working on the next big things set to
cause a stir on the Leeds social scene. Here’s a taster of some of the cool
stuff we’ve got in the pipeline.

Our turn to shake
things up…

After years of organising some of the best events this fine city
has seen, the decision to bring our very own night to the party was a complete
no-brainer. Yes, set aside Friday 14th October in your social
calendar and prepare to have your world rocked by The Leeds Cocktail
Experience.

Held at Aspire, which is Leeds’ premier event space, the
night will bring together 14 of the city’s best-loved cocktail bars for a
superior night of music, entertainment and of course, premium cocktails.

With a VIP room and bar available for high-rollers, it’s set
to be an unforgettable evening, where the Leeds elite can party like there’s no
tomorrow. Watch this space for further details on the bars and brands set to
join our little soiree. It’s gonna be a banger.

Oktoberfest lands in
Leeds

We love the German Christmas Market here at PGHL, so we were
ecstatic to learn Oktoberfest was coming to Leeds and we were all over the
opportunity to work with them. From Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th
October, the historic Tetley building will play host to the legendary Bavarian
party, which has been entertaining beer-loving revellers for years in Germany
and beyond.

The huge, big-top tent will feature several bars, a stage
for the Oompah band and long wooden tables able to seat 1,500 per session. As
well as a special lager, brewed just for the event, there will be a range of
German treats on offer, such as bratwurst and schnitzel. So, dust of your
dirndl and lederhosen, round-up the troops and get set for some beer-swilling
fun.

More drama at The
Tetley… oh yes there is!

What do you get when you cross Scotty T from Geordie Shore,
Zippy and George from Rainbow and Ken Dodd? The biggest, best and most
outrageous pantomime Leeds has ever seen that’s what. The Geordie heartbreaker
will of course play the handsome prince, whilst Hollyoaks’ Tupele Dorgu will be
the Wicked Queen.

Also joining them is Louis Emerick of Brookside fame, and
wait… there’s more. Jimmy Cricket will also play the Royal Jester and there
will also be cameos from Radio Aire breakfast shows Kelly and Ant. The
spectacular production will play out between December 8th and
January 1st, with tickets selling out fast; get yours at www.whiterosetheatre.com

Life’s a beach at the
Merrion Centre

Whilst the summer weather has been typically unpredictable
in 2016, the Merrion Centre have decided to combat that by bringing a permanent
slice of sunshine to the city with their own beach. Located opposite Peacocks, they
invite you to come ‘take a dip’ in order to win exclusive discounts, vouchers
and gifts, simply by spending £5 with any Merrion Centre retailer.

The promotion will run for six weeks across the school
holidays, and boasts thousands if prizes up for grabs, including tickets to a
show at first direct Arena and a meal for two at Smoke BBQ. Come along if you
fancy your chances – you’ve gotta be in it to win it!
